Chiltern Harriers had another good showing when hosting the second in the four match Youth Development League Lower Age Group series at Watford on Saturday. The club were second on the day, after a third place at the opening match in the six-club league, and lie in overall second with two matches left.
With the Spring Marathon season drawing to a close, and having commended efforts on the roads, it seems only fair to comment on the successes of Chiltern Harriers Seniors on the track.

The first part of the Hertfordshire Track and Field Championships took place in good conditions at Stevenage on Monday. The event features the U13 boys and girls events (apart from 1500m) and just the 1500m race for all other age groups. There was plenty of success for Chiltern Harriers athletes in both aspects of the meeting with several medals won.
The annual Pednor 5 mile road race took place on Bank Holiday Monday (5th May 2014). The Chiltern Harriers organised event, which now incorporates the Hertfordshire and also Burnham Joggers 5 mile road championships, attracted over 200 competitors. The race takes place around a one lap circular loop on undulating lanes through scenic Chiltern countryside around Pednor.
