There were team wins for Chiltern in the Under 13 boys, Under 15 boys, Under 15 girls and Veterans men’s races.
There were also individual wins for Cameron Reid (U13 boys), Will Perkin (U15 boys), Hannah Thear (U15 girls) and Eddie O’Gorman (Vet 40 men).
Other medals went to Ben Smith (silver, U13 boys), Sam Henning (bronze, U15 boys), Justin Fowler (silver, Vet 40 men), Derek Brown (silver, Vet 50 men), Jess Orr (bronze, U15 girls), Katie Bench (silver, U17 women), Amy Harris (silver, U20 women), and Sandra Reynolds (silver Vet 35 women).
The Under 13 boys had an excellent win with Cameron Reid (first), Ben Smith (second), Angus Williams (fourth) and Tom Hall (seventh) being the scorers in a large race of 43 finishers. Other Chiltern boys well up were Edward Watson in 12th, Harry Brandon in 13th, and Phoenix Everiss in 18th.
There was another team-winning performance by the U15 boys with Will Perkin taking the County title. Will was followed home by Sam Henning (third), Richard Slade (fifth) and Angus Denison-Smith (tenth). Good runs also came from Rob Hall (11th), Theo Kontos (13th), Seb Mills (16th) and Will Brown (18th).
There was disappointment in the U17 men’s race as James McCarthy had to stop with a turned ankle. Will Oleksiuk was the sole Chiltern finisher in fifteenth.
In the U20 men’s race Michael Goddard ran well to be silver medallist and Liam McDonald had a good run to be fourth.
The Senior men’s race saw Chiltern second courtesy of Eddie O’Gorman (3rd), Simon Beedell (10th), Justin Fowler (12th), Derek Brown (21st), Jon Taylor (23rd) and David Breingan (37th).
The Vets foursome of Eddie, Justin, Derek and David were the winning vets team.
On the female side, the U13 girls had a solid race with Robyn Watkins (7th), Sandie Pohlman (13th), Beth Welham (15th), and Magda Rospedzihowska (18th) all running well. The girls were fourth team.
The Under 15 girls retained their county title, led home by Hannah Thear who won the individual race. In-form Jess Orr was third and Lizzie Barraclough sixth to complete the winning team. Rachel Padwick was neck and neck with Lizzie to be seventh and Orla Fawcett was eleventh.
The Under 17 women and Under 20 women run together and are combined as a team although each age group has individual medals. The Chiltern threesome of Katie Bench (3rd), Amy Harris (5th) and Emma Barraclough (9th) were second by just one point. Katie was second U17 and Amy second U20.
In the Senior women’s race the team of Sandra Reynolds (7th), Ellie Bates (9th), and Grace Birch (10th) were third. Sandra was second Vet 35 and Kate Loach third Vet 45.
