In the Inter Boys 1500m Jonty Wager-Leigh was the winner. Chasing a time of 4.07 Jonty was on schedule but with no help faded to a still very respectable 4.11.8. Also in that race Sam Howell was eighth in 4.43.6.
Rachel Padwick made it a double win in the Inter Girls 1500m, logging another good time of 4.53.9, in what is a great season for her.
The final ‘Chiltern’ win of the day came from Scarlett Wager-Leigh in the Junior Girls 1500m, running a good PB of 4.50.2 to win the race from second placed Sophie Morton, who was a little off her best with 5.00.00. Emily Bannister ran season’s best 5.06.9 in sixth. In the Junior Girls 800m Charlotte Munn ran a PB of 2.29.7 in the heat and was fourth in the final.
In the javelin Abi Jones threw another good distance of 32.28m to be second and Hannah Dickens recorded 4.25m in the long jump.
In the Junior Boys, Jake Alderson had a good day, recording 2.13.7 to win his 800m heat but bettering this with 2.12.5 to be third in the final, two PBs in one day. Alex Ahern ran 2.28 in his heat.
In the Pre-junior age group (Year 7) Mia Henson and Annabel Black both reached the finals of 100m and 200m. Mia was second in the 200m with a PB of 27.9 and fifth in the 100m with a further PB of 13.50. Annabel recorded 30.4 in the 200m and 14.5 in the 100m. For the boys Matthew Patterson was second in the long jump with 4.77m and sixth in the 100m in 13.50.
