On Saturday 1st November, Chiltern Harriers were well-represented at the Thames Meander Half Marathon (a trail race in Kingston, Surrey). Sam Meldrum came home in a very respectable 1.37.43; followed by Scott Getley, 1.58.17 (both M40 Category).
The Chiltern Men had an excellent day at the Marlow Half Marathon. Eddie O’Gorman finished 1st overall with a time of 1.17.20. Chiltern Men also picked up the team prize, with Alistair Melville-Smith, Andrew Wiseall and Nathan Taylor making up the team. Alistair, Andrew and Nathan finished in 1.22.11 (5th, 1st V35 and a PB), 1.25.48 (16th, SB) and 1.28.18 (29th) respectively. The 5th Chiltern Harrier home was Kate Loach (see above), followed quickly by Paul Keikes (1.47.41) and then by: Ben Martin (1.55.54), Steve Boyden-Wilson (1.59.24, PB), David Holmes (1.59.34) and Reg Gilber (2.15.50).
… and, finally BREAKING NEWS! Husband and wife team, Martin Black and Kirstie Elliott, have just completed the NYC Marathon. Both came in under four hours, Martin in 3.55.03 and Kirstie in 3.20.50.
