Also in the U15s Harry Kettle ran the 800m for Buckinghashire. With only nine entrants Harry progressed easily to the final with a heat time of 2.13.31. However, Harry has been training lightly recently due to shin problems since his great performance at the English Schools Championships, and only managed sixth in the final in a time of 2.11.13.
Although only a first year U17, Will Perkin was running 800m for Bucks in the U20 competition, hoping for a fast time. Up against experienced U20s with strong PBs, Will ran well to record 1.59.58, just outside his best, but was sixth in his heat and did not progress to the final.
