The league features athletes in the U13 and U15 age groups and the Chiltern boys and girls did very well to finish third of the six strong clubs taking part, after having been promoted to Southern Division North 1 last year.
The final scores were Bedford and County 517, Orion Harriers 439, Chiltern Harriers 427, Basildon AC 404, Thames Valley Harriers 351, Herts Phoenix 233, so the club will be aiming to finish in the top half of the league after the four matches involved.
The conditions were sunny but with a gentle cool wind, very good conditions for athletics.
