Results on Bucks AA website
The programme started with the Year 5/6 races. It was a clean sweep in the girls race with Orla Williams first, Katie Repper second and Abbie Henderson third. The results are separated to give separate medallists for year 5 and year 6 so Abbie was the Year 5 gold medallist with sister Holly (7th overall) year 5 bronze medallist. Also running well was Carys Arnold in 9th and Jinaan Lockwood in 12th.
There was a further Chiltern winner in the Year 5/6 boys race with Zach Rahaman leading the field home. Bailey Cameron was 10th, William Mayhew 13th and Alex Porter 19th also running well.
In the Year 7 girls race Olivia Cameron was 9th, Millie Hughes 10th, Alice Moffat 11th and Isobel Swann 17th. The Year 7 boys featured another Chiltern winner with Angus Williams having a good run. Also well up were Alex Aldred in 4th, Tom Hunter 5th, Matt Clifford 6th and Seb Porter 7th.
The races for the older age-groups act as selection events for the Buckinghamshire Schools team to compete in the English Schools Championships in March.
The Junior girls race saw an excellent run from Beth Welham to be fourth and the Junior boys race a silver-medal winning run from Ben Smith.
The Intermediate girls saw a great run from Hannah Thear to win the race. Orla Fawcett had her best run of the season to be 5th, and Jess Orr was 6th. Maddy Lacey in 10th and Lizzie Barraclough in 12th also had good runs.
The Senior girls run the same course at the same time as the Intermediate girls and Sophie Chesterman (5th), Katie Bench (7th), and Claire Baxter (9th) all put in solid runs.
Similarly the Intermediate boys and Senior boys run together. Will Perkin won the Inter boys race, and was first overall. James McCarthy won the Senior boys event. In the Intermediate boys race Richard Slade ran very well to be sixth, and Will Brown in 9th and George Brown in 13th were also well up.
