It was a 1-2-3 in the 800m for Angus Williams (2.21.3), Tom Hunter (2.29.2) and Alex Aldred, with Alex picking up a PB of 2.30.5. There was further success in the shot with Christian Grint winning with a PB of 7.31m and Finbar Blount third with 6.61m. Finbar added second place in the 100m with a PB of 13.7 with Ollie Ayres third in 13.9. More success in the field came from Tom Hunter, who won the long jump in 4.10m with Ollie Ayres third in 4.05m
Although there were no wins amongst the Junior boys, there were several second places and many good performances.
Felix Hale confirmed his progress in the sprints with second place in the 200m in 26.4. Harry Russell was fifth in 27.5 and Alex Burn sixth in 28.1. In the 300m Harry Russell gained a PB of 43.0 to be fifth. Earlier, Felix Hale (12.9) and Calvin Stevens (14.0) had put in solid efforts in the 100m.
Cameron Reid ran a PB of 2.14.3 to be second in the 800m. Tommy Davies (9th in 2.28.90), Phoenix Everiss (10th in a PB of 2.30.00) and Kristian Everiss (11th in a PB of 2.33.80) all ran well. Ethan Kidd looked good, running a PB of 13.2 to be second in the 80m hurdles.
Kristian was third in the javelin with 23.42m, and Phoenix fifth in 19.43m. Siddhant Dey was second in the discus with a good throw of 32.32m and Harry Brandon was 10th in the long jump - 3.98m.
Ella Merten-Mancer won the 100m in a good time of 13.0. Wanessa Idec set a PB of 14.0 in the heats. Maya Bhat continued the sprint success with second in the 200m (27.2) and Amber Hitchcock was third in the 75m hurdles (13.0).
Jemima Taswell-Fryer set a PB of 2.32.5 in the 800m to earn a great second place. Beth Welham had a solid run to be fifth in the 1500m in 5.25.3.
In the field Esme Deadman was sixth in the discus with 18.94m and ninth in the javelin with 16.66m.
Will Perkin won the 1500m, with a strong second half of the race, in 4.11.0. In the field Fabian Everiss was third in the shot with 9.27m and second in the javelin with 37.01m.
In the 800m, Hannah Thear was fifth in 2.33.1 and Jess Orr seventh in a season’s best 2.37.4. Emma Kaye was in PB form – second in the 1500m in 5.12.7. Fran Luttrell was third in the 300m hurdles in a PB of 49.3 and Emily Baxter was the sole pole vaulter, reaching 1.60m in the difficult conditions.
