On Sunday 15th February seven Chiltern Harriers runners joined a field of more than 250 in the 22nd annual running of the Hardwick X-Stream 6 mile cross-country race.
All did excellently to come in under an hour over a fairly slippy course. Eddie O’Gorman put in a strong performance, finishing quicker than in 2014 in 36.10, which was enough to earn him the Male Vet 40 prize and 3rd overall. Your humble correspondent was the next Harrier home, not managing to retain her 2014 title, but still delighted with 2nd in the women’s race, with a time of 44.03. She was followed in by: David Trevillion (45.34), Ade McCormack (Vet 50, 46.21 – who, incidentally, is really flying at the moment, over distances both long and short), Helen Cholawa (49.56), Geoff Blount (Vet 50, 50.25, despite an injured knee) and Ian Turner (Vet 50, 25.38).
