Chiltern Harriers also had some great results in parkruns on Saturday 16th May. At Tring Grant Whitaker (VM50-54) finished 2nd in 21.40 (only 2 seconds off of his PB). He was followed home by Mark Fry (also VM50-54) in 26.07. At Black Park Tom Hunter (JM11-14) did brilliantly to finish 11th in 19.47, and with a new PB. Andrew Stewart (VM50-54) was also rewarded with a new PB of 20.46 at his 50th parkrun. Matt Channer (VM35-39) got round the 5k course in 24.34. Finally, Ben Durston (VM35-39) was in action at the Wycombe Rye event, finishing in 24.56.
A small band of Chiltern Harriers AC runners were in action during the 23rd annual Prestwood 10k on Sunday 17th May, The event is organised by the Chilterns MS Centre, was established to provide services and advise to people with multiple sclerosis, their families and carers.
First Harrier home was Grant Whitaker, following a great 5k parkrun the day before, in 42.46. He was followed by Kate Loach, who was 3rd lady and 1st in the VW50 category. Steve Field came in at 47.38 and 1st VM60. Martin Allen got round the challenging, undulating course in 52.02.
