Firstly, a small apology for missing a couple of results from last week’s South of England Masters’ and Inter County Cross Country Champs. Simon Brown clocked an impressive time of 38.04 in the 10k, whilst Martyn Cartwright took part in the 70+ race, completing 6k in 38.55. Well done, both!
From our parkrun correspondent: first Harrier home at Black Park this week was Aran Davidson, 8th with another massive PB at 19:28; he was closely followed by first lady Ali Young in 19:31. Other runners at Black Park were: Matt Channer (20:52); Paul Pearce (23:00); Matt Lawrence (23:01); Miriam Kempson (27:55); Paula Walker (28:28); Shaheen Dent (28:59); Gemma Stockwell (joining Aran in the PB club with a 29:15); Angela Hughes (29:41) and Tim Dawson (injured, but walking round in 49:13). At Wycombe Rye, Zach Rahaman came home in 20:34 and Philip Lewis completed the course in 28:39. Two Harriers went to tackle the tough Tring Park Run, Gabriel Baker achieved 28:58 and Evangelina Baker did 31:35 Doug King headed to Gadebridge and clocked 27:13. Sam Meldrum was running with his son Josiah. Josiah got himself a new PB of 37:04, whilst Sam trailed in behind him in 37:05. David Breingan was at Northala Fields and clocked 19:48. At Cassiobury Park, Andrew Stewart clocked a course PB of 20:45 and Lesedi Nkoane managed a sterling 23:49. (Young Lesedi had the cheek to steal all Ellie’s strava course records last week…) The Christmas tourism season seems to have started already with Andy Mayhew in Basingstoke (23:12); David Saul in Winchester (23:00); Hugh Beedell in Bognor (20:15); Trevor Brawn at Panshanger (25:33) and in Lowestoft, Rachel and Tom Ayres completed the course in 24:37 and 24:44.
