Mairead O’Rourke was 3rd lady at Wycombe Rye in 23.14. She was joined by Guy Johnson – 25.54 and Veronica Pearce – 26.23 (her fastest parkrun to date). Adam Jones clocked 23.05 at Bryn Back parkrun, reaching the milestone of 50 events. Tony Molesworth also reached a milestone this week – 70 parkruns – finishing Cranleigh in 32.24. Finally, Neil Brown clocked 19.08 at Cassiobury Park in Watford.
Moving on to Sunday 17 April, Louise Durman was 5th lady at the Brighton BM10k in 38.30, whilst Lisa and John Walker finished the marathon in 4.05.15. In the Flitwick 10k Derek Brown was first in the M50-59 category, in a terrific time of 36.20; Kingsley Nanton also did excellently, finishing in 40.03. Matthew Robins was the only Harrier at the Danesfield Dash, a multi-terrain event in Marlow, where he clocked a very respectable 46.23.
Four Chiltern Harriers took part in the Aldbury 5 cross country race around the Ashridge estate on Sunday 17 April. The first finishers of those was Ben Howell in 38.34. He was joined by David Saul – 43.24; Ade McCormack – 44.49 and Trevor Brawn – 51.36.
