“Quickest Harrier of the day was Justin Fowler clocking 18:06 at Aylesbury. He was followed by Nathan Taylor (18:56) and Alan Hornibrook (20:33).
Back to you in the studio, Ellie.”
Thanks, Neil. Elsewhere, Susan Jarman completed the Obstacle Course Racing UK Championships on 19 November, finishing 14th out of the 23 starters in her category. Susan managed to complete 27 out of the 31 obstacles, and suspects that she may have set a new record for 10 miles – 3hrs 18mins. That sounds seriously hardcore. Well done Susan.
Matts Robins and Channer took part in the Phoenix ‘Day at the movies’ marathon, which saw them run a 1.6mile course repeatedly and win epic movie-themed medals for their efforts. Robins came away with a marathon distance of 26.24 miles in 4.22.16, and a Ghostbusters medal; Channer brought home Indiana Jones for 22.96 miles in 3.52.49.
Whilst almost 30 Harriers slogged through the mud at the Herbert’s Hole Challenge – full results here – Kate Loach completed the Valencia Marathon. Kate finished the race in a brilliant 3.29.46, and potentially was in a much cleaner (if more tired) state at the finish. Well done, Kate!
The 24th running of the Herbert’s Hole Challenge saw 275 finishers make their way round the grueling 10k course in the aftermath of Storm Angus. Conditions were much better than expected, with only light rain, but deep mud and puddles to contend with.
