Peter Gould was 7th on the day at the Self-Transcendence 10k in Battersea Park, in an impressive 35.13.
Mike ‘Tiny’ Turney was the fastest parkrunning Harrier on 21 May, finishing in 18.20 at St Albans and earning himself 3rd place and a new PB in the process. Louise Durman was 1st lady in Bournemoth in a super-speedy 18.49. I was 1st lady at Maidenhead with a somewhat less rocket-propelled 20.41. Neil was close to his PB in 21.16. Black Park Mike Worsfold was the first Chiltern Harrier home in 20.32, he was joined by: Ian Lawson – 21.42; Matt Robins – 21.52; Matt Channer – 25.16; Nat Baker – 26.16 and Sue Bree – 34.41. Doug King set a new PB of 25.44 at Wycombe Rye and was followed by Tom Ayres (26.36) and Tony Molesworth (27.29). David Breingan took part at Gadebridge for the first time, completing the course in 21.55. Miriam Kempson set a new PB of 26.34 at Northala Fields (Ealing). Andy Hickman took part in his first ever parkrun at Tring on Saturday, finishing an impressive 6th in 20.46 on the challenging course, Callum Powell was also a first-timer, clocking 29.40.Finally, at South Oxhey David Saul earned himself a new PB for the course of 23.46.
Well done to all Harriers who were taking part at track and field events over the weekend – the Youth Development League and Southern Athletics League at Lee Valley.
