The U13 Boys carried on the momentum of their Chiltern League victory with a convincing relay win. Thomas Job led from the off and brought the team home in the lead at the end of the first leg with a time of 7.14 on the fast and flat 2k circuit common to all U13 and U15 races. Alex Aldred extended the lead with 7.27 on the second leg and Angus Williams achieved the fastest lap of the race (7.09) to bring the team home by a margin of twenty-six seconds. The B team also did well with Nathan Hackley (7.37), Tom Hunter (7.29) and Matt Clifford (8.05) combining to be ninth. Not to be outdone, the C team finished a commendable 18th from the 27 teams with Zach Rahaman (7.47), Joe Day (8.36) and Robert Orr (8.12)
Earlier the U20 women had put together a good performance over a 2.5k course. Hannah Morton (9.02), Amy Harris (9.57), and Emma Barraclough (9.34) were a clear second. Combined with the U20s race were the U17 women. The A team were led off by Emily Bannister who was a little under-the–weather with a cold. Her 9.17 set up Scarlett Wager-Leigh (8.43) and Hannah Thear (8.38) to come home fifth from the sixteen complete teams. On the B team Rachel Padwick had a great first leg of 8.45. This was backed up by Orla Fwcett (9.20) and Maddy Lacey (9.20) to leave the B team an impressive seventh (and first B team). Jess Orr (9.31) and Emma Kaye (10.02) ran as an incomplete C team.
The U17 Men’s team ran along with the U20 men. Will Perkin tackled the first leg and came home leading the field with an excellent time of 10.17 on the tougher 3k route, which proved to be fastest of the day. Richard Slade ran 11.28 and Sam Howell 11.20 to leave the A team sixth from nineteen complete teams. The B team of Will Brown (11.31), George Brown (11.27) and David Thomas (11.35) were tenth and the Cs, featuring Rob Hall (11.22), Angus Denison-Smith (11.35) and Seb Mills (11.54) were 13th, just twenty seconds behind the Bs.
The Under 13 girls had two teams out. Olivia Cameron (8.17), Orla Williams (8.11) and Millie Hughes (8.54) were 14th from 32, with the B team of Katie Repper (8.40), Jinaan Lockwood (8.55) and Jess Pullen (9.34) 26th. Isobel Swann (9.46) ran as an incomplete C team.
Robyn Watkins led out the U15 girls with a good run of 7.37. Soraya Lockwood (8.10) and Emily Alderson (8.14) continued the good work and the girls ended up eleventh from 29 complete teams. The B team of Beth Welham (8.24), Jemima Taswell-Fryer (8.34) and Sandie Pohlman (8.20) combined to be 22nd.
In the U15 Boys race Tommy Davies (7.13), Cameron Reid (7.06) and Ben Howell (7.50) combined to be 17th. Not far behind were the B team of Oliver Jackson (7.25), Redford Denson (7.33) and Ethan Hague (7.28). Phoenix Everiss (7.47) and Kristian Everiss (8.24) ran as an incomplete C team.
