The B team also ran well, finishing 17th from the 34 complete teams. Thomas Job did well on first leg (11.12) and was followed by Matt Clifford (12.00), Zach Rahaman (12.02) and Seb Porter (12.08).
Previously the U13 girls had acquitted themselves well. Orla Williams ran strongly on first leg to record 11.54. With Millie Hughes running 12.43 and Olivia Cameron 11.58, the girls finished a creditable 20th from the 56 complete teams. Jinaan Lockwood (13.05) and Jess Pullen (14.22) ran in an incomplete B team.
Both male and female U15 teams found the going tough. The girls A team were 31st – Robyn Watkins (12.15), Soraya Lockwood (12.14), and Beth Welham (12.34), and the B team 53rd – Emily Alderson (12.48), Sandie Pohlman (13.07), and Amber Restall (13.54). The boys A team, mostly first years, were 33rd – Cameron Reid (10.22), Tommy Davies (10.46), Oliver Jackson (11.22), and Edward Watson (11.42) and the incomplete B team featured 12.47 from Kristian Everiss and 11.58 from Ben Howell.
The U17 men and women both had two full teams out – a good sign for strength in depth for the rest of the season. From 43 complete teams, the women were 13th –Scarlett Wager-Leigh (11.16), Emily Bannister (11.28), and Rachel Padwick (11.51). The B team were 32nd – Orla Fawcett (11.47), Maddy Lacey (12.14), and Mimi Houlihan-Burne (13.04). Jess Orr ran 12.58 in an incomplete C team.
The U17 A team men were led off on the longer 3.8k course by Will Perkin who ran 12.41. He was backed up by solid runs from Richard Slade (13.32), Sam Howell (13.11) and David Thomas (13.51) to be 15th from 28 teams. The B team also did well with Angus Denison-Smith (13.44), Will Brown (13.55), George Brown (13.27) and Seb Mills (14.27) coming in 22nd.
The final race of the day, also on the longer 3.8k course was the senior women with a Chiltern team made up of ladies across the age groups. Vet 40 Bex Nkoane had an excellent run on leg 1 with 14.41. Under 20 Hannah Morton ran 15.35 on the second leg and Vet 35 Kirstie Elliot ran 15.55 on leg 3. Under 20 Hannah Wardley, slowly coming back from injury, completed the team with 17.12. The foursome were 42nd from 71 complete teams
