There were A string wins for Tim Rogers (U20 400m), Dan Weathers (U20 400m hurdles and 2000m steeplechase), and Louis Simmons (U20 shot and discus). Josh Parry was second in both 100m and 200m, backed up by Kai McKenzie and Tim Rogers.
David Clark and Richard Slade did well in the 1500m, and Richard teamed up with Harry Cox in the 3000m, Harry winning the B string. In the 800m Peter Finn ran well in the A string and Luke Seymour won the B string. Aidan Kingman backed up Dan Weathers in hurdles and steeplechase, where he won the B string. Kai McKenzie was second in high jump, and Luke and David also helped in the jumps. The 4 x 100m team were second but the 4 x 400m team (Luke Seymour, David Clark, Peter Finn and Tim Rogers) completed another league win.
Under 20 Women
Good points were picked up on the flat runs, with Charlotte Bellamy and Rochelle Jack in the short sprints, Hannah Thear and Clare Croome in the 400m, and Hannah, Emma Delgado, and Tash Taylor in middle distance. Hannah Morton gained a 3000m win in a good time of 10.38.10.
Emily Smith won the 100m hurdles and was second in the 400m hurdles. Megan Styles was third in the steeplechase. Several of the girls helped in the field with Emma, Megan, Rochelle, Clare and Tash all scoring good points. Megan did well to win long jump with 4.64m.
The 4 x 100m team were third but the 4 x 400m (Emma Delgado, Hannah Thear, Emily Smith and Clare Croome) were victorious.
Under 17 Men
Seb Mills had a good day, winning A string 800m and B string 400m. Morgan Hiles gained a big PB of 11.30 in the 100m and Ben Layne did well in 200m and 400m. Finn Bell and Harry Cox did well in the 1500m and Will Brown and George Brown ran the 3000m. Fraser Kilsby won A string shot and was third in javelin, also helping out in B string 100m. Seb and Morgan scored useful points in long jump.
Under 17 Women
Maya Bhat was A string in the short sprints, gaining a PB of 12.90 in the 100m. Grace Storr won the 300m, and was third in B string 200m. Scarlet Storr won 300m hurdles and also did well in A string 80m hurdles and B string 100m. Maisie Pennant ran well in the B string 300m.
There was an A string 800m win for Scarlett Wager Leigh with Sandie Pohlman second in the B string. Robyn Watkins and Jess Orr were second in 1500m A string and B string respectively. Anna Jones won A string pole vault and was second in the high jump. Iona Roberts was second in A string discus and other field events were tackled by Charlotte Bellamy, Maisie Pennant and Robyn Watkins. Aleesha Offside did well in non-scoring sprints and sprint relay.
The 4 x 100m relay team were third but the 4 x 300m team (Maisie Pennant, Sandie Pohlman, Robyn Watkins, and Grace Storr) were again the winners.
The third match in the four-match series is at Bedford on June 26th.
