Several of Chiltern Harriers track and field athletes were in action this weekend, some indoor, some outdoor.
Following a short break last week due to inclement weather (ie. pretty much all the races were cancelled), Race Report is back!
That said, this was quite a quiet weekend for racing, so we’ll start with a shout-out for Aran Davidson who marked his 50th parkrun last weekend by not only achieving a new PB (17.25), but also by winning the event at Rickmansworth. Well done, Aran!
Several of Chiltern Harriers youngest cross country runners were taking part in the Primary Schools /Year 7 English Schools Cross Country on Saturday.
Held At Prestwold Hall, Leicestershire, the hosts did a great job of creating new courses after the National Inter Counties Championships at the same venue two weeks earlier had turned the estate into a quagmire.
The 22 Chiltern athletes were mostly competing for the Bucks Swans team, although three were taking part for Hertfordshire.

Conditions were tricky at Temple Newsam, Leeds with bitingly cold temperatures and strong winds but quite soft going underfoot.

This weekend Harriers have been doing themselves proud with no less than eleven successful ultra marathon finishers.
On Saturday, an intrepid bunch set off on the Humanity Direct Amersham Ultra – a 29.2 mile undulating course through Misbourne Valley, Chess Valley and some of the best (yet muddy!) areas in the Chiltern Hills.
The National Inter Counties Cross Country Championships took place at an extremely muddy Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire on Saturday.
Twenty-eight Chiltern Harriers were taking part, running for their counties in this most prestigious of the end of season national cross country events.

On a day when most local parkruns were cancelled, Aran Davidson organised an unofficial Chesham parkrun in Lowndes Park yesterday. No official times available, but course PBs all round and a good time was had by all!
