Several Chiltern athletes were at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield for the EA Age Group Indoor Championships at the weekend.
Chiltern athletes continue to enjoy competing on the indoor circuit.

Happy New Year Race Report fans! Only one week in to 2018, and the year is already shaping up to be an exciting one for Chiltern Harriers AC with athletes delivering winning performances in a variety of events across the country.
As the indoor season gets underway several Chiltern athletes have taken to the boards.
On Saturday January 6th Will Perkin ran his first race as a senior and gained success, winning the South of England Senior Indoor 1500m title at Lee Valley. Will bided his time and kicked at the bell to win by two seconds in a time of 3.58.10.
Earlier Lily Holt had put in an excellent showing at the Southern Indoor Combined Events Championships. Also at Lee Valley, on December 16th, Lily tackled the Under 17 Women’s pentathlon, and finished a creditable sixth from 19 competitors. Lily reached 2907 points. This comprised 60m hurdles (7.87 – 737pts), High Jump (1.62m – 759pts), Shot (8.08m – 405pts), Long Jump (4.84m – 516pts), and 800m (2.47.52 – 490pts). Lily ‘s high jump of 1.62m is a new PB and just below English Schools qualifying height.
Under 13 Isaac Jessop-Tranter and Under 11 Lily Jessop-Tranter took part in the Lee Valley Minithon on December 9th. Isaac logged 9.32 for 60m, 31.38 for 200m, and 1.56.97 for 600m in his first U13 competition. Lily ran 10.11 for 60m, 33.94 for 200m, and 2.12.45 for 600m.
