Lily Holt came an excellent sixth in the ESAA Midlands Schools Combined Events Championships at Abingdon at the weekend. Lily was competing in the Intermediate (U17) Girls Heptathlon.
Lily finished on 4060 points and was the highest placed of the four Bucks girls taking part.
The first two events were Lily’s specialities of 80m hurdles and high jump, and with a PB of 12.1 in hurdles (786 points) and a great high jump of 1.65m (795 points), Lily was in the lead.
Lily backed this up with shot - 7.80m (386 points), 200m - 27.40 (659 points), long jump – 5.13m (595 points), javelin – 20.69m (302 points), and 800m – 2.43.2 (537 points).
There were PBs for Lily in hurdles, long jump, 200m, javelin and 800m. A great start for Lily in her debut heptathlon, moving up from the U15 pentathlon event.
