Starting out with parkrun, fastest Harrier of the day on Saturday 13 May was Pete Gould. Pete was first overall at Ally Pally, with a time of 18.32 in his 25th parkrun.
Elsewhere, Matt Robins and Nick Hancock took part in the ‘All Nations 10k’ at Eton Dorney, finishing in 43.34 and 43.22, respectively.
And, in a very different kind of event, Dave Bellamy completed the Dukeries 40 (mile) ultra in Sherwood Forest.
Moving on to today, Sunday 14 May: David Breingan was 10th in the M50-59 category in the Oxford Town & Gown 10k, with a time of 40.51.
Chiltern athletes have also been competing over the weekend at the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire County Track and Field Championships at Horspath in Oxford. Results here, and report to follow.
UPDATE: Kate Loach was 3rd woman and 1st F50 at the Prestwood 10k, with a time of 46.07. She was joined by: Steve Field (50.35); Jonathan Clarke (51.10); Catherine Staunton, who was first F60 in 53.13 and Paula Walker (64.44). Well done all, and well done Kate, Catherine and Paula for bringing home the ladies’ team prize!
Andy Hickman did an impressive 1.30.11 Strava time for the Buckingham Half.
