One Harrier who must have got thoroughly drenched, but for a very good cause, was Dave Howells. Dave completed the London ‘Shine Night Walk’ last night – a night-time marathon stroll through the streets of London in aid of Cancer Research UK. His time was 9hrs34. If you want to sponsor Dave you can, by clicking here.
Elsewhere, Harriers were taking on the Humanity Direct Tring Ultra, organised by local company XNRG. Sam Reed was the quickest over the 32 mile course, in a time of 5.01.22. He was joined by Yours Truly in 5.02.09 (and 2ndlady); Neil Cooper, who was 1stV60 in 5.29.55; Tim Dawson – 6.02.30; Annelize Colquhoun – 6.04.08 and Harriet Lemon and Miriam Kempson – both in 8.31.12. If any other Harriers completed the event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org so your result can count towards your standing in the Club championship.
Finally, Aran Davidson earned himself yet another PB on Sunday 23 September, this time for the half marathon. Aran finished the Simplyhealth Great Bristol Half in 1.14.42. Well done!
