Today, Sunday 21 October, it was PBs all round for Mike ‘Tiny’ Turney, Nathan Taylor and Mike Worsfold at the Abingdon Marathon. In perfect conditions, Tiny came in in 2.57.08, Nathan in 2.59.17 and Mike in 3.18.10. Well done to all three of you. Your performances are reflections of the hard work which you have all been putting in and are thoroughly well-deserved.
In sunny Pompey, Ed Wright took on the Great South Run, completing it in 1.14.54. Meanwhile closer to home Hywel Thomas was back in racing form in Bisham, Berkshire in the ‘Water of Life’ Half Marathon, completing the event in 1.36.17, whilst up-stream, Rik Edwards finished the Henley Half in 1.46.42.
Finally, Callum Powell was first in the U11 category (and 5thoverall) at the Ampthill Trophy Cross Country, in a time of 7.27. Well done!
