The meeting, for children in years 1-7, was held on a warm, sunny morning with only a strong breeze hindering the middle distance runners.
There were fewer U13 boys but Thomas Askey (2.33.1) and Raphael Baker (2.57.7) both ran well in the 800m. U15 Gabriel Baker ran 2.28.7.
The U11 girls events saw another great race in the 600m between Frankie Baxter and Lesedi Nkoane, Frankie just ahead with 1.52.5, Lesedi on 1.53.0. In another race Lily Jessop-Tranter showed promise with a big PB of 2.00.5. Frankie (12.4), Lesedi (12.7) and Lily (212.9) also did well in the 80m sprints and were joined by Mila Luker (12.6) and Ella Davies (12.9) in going under 13 seconds. Lesedi (3.58m), Mila (3.58m) and Frankie (3.44m) also excelled in the long jump.
The U11 boys ran well in the 600m – Max Baxter (1.58.5), Charlie Ventress (1.58.7), Alex Hughes (2.01.0), Alfie Clifford (2.01.3), Daniel Carruthers (2.01.6) and John Broadis (2.02.3) all looked good. John Broadis was the pick of the long jumpers with 3.80m.
In the U9s Oscar Gregory (1.29.9) and Marlie Nkoane (1.30.2) ran well in the 400m.
