Next up was the BMC Gold Standard part of the evening,. The 800m Men’s A race saw a good win against a strong field for James McCarthy, but in a relatively modest time of 1.52.35.
The rest of the evening for Chiltern runners was devoted to 1500m.
Under 13s Sammy Bennetts (5.13.91) and Marea Logan (5.29.35) both looked good in their debuts in the event.
U13 twins Max and Frankie Baxter had a duel in this one with Max just off his PB in 5.06.47 and Frankie making a strong debut in the event of 5.07.28. Also in this race U13 Ella Botha set a big new PB of 5.09.20 as did Hannah Ashby in 5.25.78.
Race 4 also had a big Chiltern contingent. U15 Abbie Henderson set a new PB time of 5.03.86, with U13 Jamie Powell also in PB shape with 5.05.59. Close behind were U15 Alice Brown (5.07.34), U13 Lesedi Nkoane (5.10.02 PB), and U15 Alicia Bushell (5.11.26).
Holly Henderson (U15) was in a race that separated out early but kept her form to log 5.11.79.
U13 Leon Doran ran a solid race for 5.06.21, a little off his recent PB.
Tom Emery ran a controlled and strong race to record a new PB of 4.47.91.
Woody Jackson (U15) ran well for 4.46.58.
Under 15 Nathan Hackley took five seconds off his PB in a race that flew out from the gun - 4.30.72.
Alex Johnson (U17) set a 9-second PB to finish with 4.19.50.
