This duly occurred with the team having a great match to finish in second place, moving up to fourth overall in a very tight and exciting division. South Bucks ended up with 552.5 points, Brighton third with 540 and Hillingdon fourth with 532.5.
Joe Eggleton won both short sprints in 11.2 and 22.4, with Michael Hall second in B string 200m in 23.8. Alex Johnson ran a PB of 52.8 in A string 400m and Alex Aldred ran well to win A string 800m in 2.00.8. Cam Hathaway-Enright was third in B string in 2.21.3. There was a double win in 1500m with Alex Johnson impressing in A string with 4.09.3 and Tommy Davies winning B string in 4.15.2. More distance success came in 3000m with Angus Williams winning A string in 9.21.3 and Edward Watson winning B string in 10.17.2 Tommy Davies added a further track win in 2000m steeplechase with 6.48.2.
In the field Michael Hall helped in long jump and high jump. Angus Williams and Edward Watson pitched in with help in shot and javelin. The 4 x 100m team (Michael, Joe, Alex Aldred and Luke Kempton) were third and the 4 x 400m team (Tommy, Cam, Alex Aldred and Alex Johnson) were second.
Under 20 Women
Jemima Hay ran A string 100m, Sian Vico A string 200m and Sian took a win in A string 400m. Maisie Pennant did well in B string 100m and was second in B string 200m. Soraya Lockwood was third in B string 400m. Cerys Vico and Emma Styles scored a double win in 800m with 2.22.6 and 2.32.2 respectively.
In the field Chloe Zmuda did her usual job of scoring great points in the throws, notably second in javelin with 32.16m. Sade Wallace helped out with triple jump. The 4 x 100m team of Maisie, Sian, Chloe and Cerys was third. The 4 x 300m team of Maisie, Sian, Cerys and Soraya was second.
Under 17 Men
James Spicer and Lewis Fee looked after 100m and 200m, Lewis scoring a 200m PB of 24.8. Alex Aldred won 400m A string in a big PB of 51.2, with Luke Kempton third in B string. Aaron Phillips ran well for second in A string 800m in 2.04.6 and Charlie Stone was second in B string in a PB of 2.11.4. Harvey Bell ran 4.23.7 to be third in A string 1500m with Matt Clifford running a PB of 4.38.2 to be second in B string. Matt doubled up running a PB in 3000m of 10.21.2. Alex Mitchell scored good points in 400m hurdles and 1500m steeplechase, third in both. Rhys Arnold jumped a season’s best 1.70m in high jump and Finn Hobson scored good points in A string long jump and B string high jump. Rhys also ran a good 2.10.4 in non-scoring 800m.
Lewis Fee and Sammy Nerurkar looked after shot, Toby Folkes and Sammy discus (with a B string win for Sammy). Kesegan Suthakar was second in A string hammer with Toby in B string. James Spicer and Toby looked after javelin. The 4 x 100m team of James, Lewis, Charlie and Harvey were fourth, the 4 x 400m quartet of Angus Williams, Harvey, Rhys and Luke were second.
Under 17 Women
Tara Offside ran A string 100m and 200m. Charlotte Rigby ran B string 100m in a PB 13.2 and Emma Hickman looked after B string 200m. Hatty Bell and Lottie Warkcup ran 300m, and there was big PB in A string, and a win, for Orla Williams in 2.16.4. Mia Caddell was second in B string. Jinaan Lockwood and Sophie Thomas did well in 1500m. Alicia Bushell made an assured debut to win 3000m in 10.52.1 with Ellen Cooper winning B string in a PB 11.05.9. Lily Holt and Jemima Hay both ran well in 80m hurdles, and Ella Griffin was second in 300m hurdles.
Lily Holt won A string high jump and was second in long jump. Orla helped out in B string long jump and Ella looked after B string high jump. Hatty Bell and Hannah Wells did triple jump. Sade Wallace and Millie Hughes were both second in shot, a big PB for Sade with 9.08m. In discus Hannah Wells was third in A string, Sade second in B string. In Hammer Hannah Wells was second in A string with 39.48m, Millie Hughes second in B string. In Javelin Millie Hughes threw an impressive 28.18m and Lottie Warkcup helped in B string. The 4 x 100m team of Lily, Tara, Jemima and Charlotte were fourth, the 4 x 300m team of Ella, Lottie, Hatty and Orla were third.
