The weather was very pleasant at Withdean Stadium with warm sunshine and a gentle breeze.
Michael Hall and Louis Greenaway ran the short sprints with both lads close to PBs. Cameron Reid was second in A string 400m and followed up with a win in A string 800m. Harry Cox won B string 800m and also gained a win in A string 1500m. Alex Aldred won B string 1500m and Myles Caddell was second in A string 3000m. Alex Johnson helped out with second in 110m hurdles.
Michael Hall carried on his contribution with A string long jump and B string high jump and U17 Marko Stankovic moved up to A string high jump. Isaac Hay scored great points in all four throws, including a win in javelin and second in discus. Both relays teams were third - 4 x 100m Harry, Cameron, Michael, Marko and 4 x 400m Cameron, Harry, Myles and Nick Mitchell.
Under 20 Women
A small team worked hard. Charlotte Bellamy looked after A string 100m and won B string 400m hurdles. Sian Vico ran A string 200m and 400m and took a great win in 400m hurdles. Twin sister Cerys did B string 200m, won B string 400m and was second in A string 800m. Emma Styles won B string 800m.
Chloe Zmuda scored great points in all the throws and was second in shot and discus. The 4 x 100m relay team was third courtesy of Chloe, Sian, Hannah Wells and Ellen Cooper. The 4 x 400m team of Sian, Cerys, Emma, and Orla Williams won comfortably.
Under 17 Men
Keelan Welch (12.2) and Lewis Fee (12.5) ran well in 200m and Finn Hobson (24.0) and Keelan (25.2) were both third in 200m. Alex Johnson was fourth in A string 400m and took a good win in A string 1500m. Luke Kempton kept points ticking over in B string 400m and 800m and A string 800m saw Ben Hunter third. Angus Williams won B string 1500m and was second in A string 3000m.
Marko Stankovic was third in 100m hurdles and Alex Mitchell was third in 400m hurdles. Alex Aldred made his debut in 1500m steeplechase and had a superb run to win and log 4.33.2, inside the national top ten rankings. Alex Mitchell won B string steeplechase. Finn Hobson and Luke Kempton looked after long jump and Finn equalled his PB in high jump with 1.70m. Marko was fourth in triple jump. Toby Folkes and Kesegan Suthakar did well in discus and hammer and Toby added A string javelin. Angus helped out with B string javelin and Lewis Fee did A string shot. South Bucks won both relays. The 4 x 100m team of Lewis Fee, Louis Greenaway, Keelan Welch and Finn Hobson were impressive with 46.1 and the 4 x 400m team of Ben Hunter, Luke Kempton, Angus Williams, and Alex Johnson ran 3.44.1.
Under 17 Women
Emma Hickman ran 100m and 200m and Laura Paul did B string 200m and 300m. Orla Williams ran a PB of 44.2 in 300m and won A string 800m. Alicia Bushell worked hard to be second in B string 800m and second in A string 1500m. Ellen Cooper also put in a big shift - second in B string 1500m and first in A string 3000m.
Lily Holt had a successful day, second in 80m hurdles and winning long jump and high jump. Ella Griffin won B string 80m hurdles, was second in A string 300m hurdles, and won B string high jump. Orla Williams chipped in with third in A string triple jump, Hannah Wells third in B string. Hannah also scored good points in A string discus and B string hammer. Millie Hughes did A string javelin, A string hammer and B string shot. Sade Wallace kept throws points going in A string shot, B string discus and took a win in B string javelin.
Emma Hickman, Lily Holt, Laura Paul and Sade Wallace were fifth in 4 x 100m relay and Millie Hughes, Ellen Cooper, Alicia Bushell and Ella Griffin were third in 4 x 300m relay.
At time of writing officials points were not added so final scores and positions are not finalised.
