Maidenhead Easter Ten, parkrun, Cardiff Half Marathon, Hillingdon Half Marathon and the Beaconsfield Five - Easter weekend Race Report
Welcome to a cracking Easter edition of Race Report. I hope everyone has managed to enjoy some lovely spring runs in between torrential downpours over the long weekend.
We’ll kick things off with the Maidenhead Easter Ten (mile), which took place on Good Friday 25 March. Derek Brown was in fine form, the first Harrier home, and in under an hour in 58.45. That also earned Derek first position in the M50 category. Not far behind him were: Michael Turney – 1.04.14 (9th M50); Nathan Taylor – 1.04.46; David Breingan – 1.10.04 and Roger Ellerby – 1.21.21.
Race Report 19 - 20 March: park run PBs, Ashridge Boundary Run, Windsor, Welwyn, Hastings & The Vitality North London Half Marathons & Heyford Park Airbase Races
We’ll start, as per tradition, with parkrun, where Chiltern Harriers AC greeted the (almost) arrival of Spring with a good number of PB performances.
Mike ‘I’ll-never-run-that-fast-again-I’ve not-got-the-speed’ Turney put in a blinding performance at Black Park, coming very close to his lifetime PB and managing 10th position in 18.56.
Happy Mother's Day from Race Report: Run Eton Dorney, parkrun, Berkhamsted Half Marathon & Milton Keynes Festival of Running
