At Wycombe Rye Tony Molesworth (VM70-74) got round in 26.37, whilst Martin Allen (VM55-59) got a new PB of 23.44 at Cassiobury Park.
Elsewhere, father and son team Hywel and David Thomas were in medal-winning action in the Fix Addiction 10k race at Dorney Lake. David (aged 15) did brilliantly well in his first appearance in a CHAC vest, finishing 1st in the U20 category and 7th overall in 40.17. Hywel was 1st in the V50 category and 8th overall in 41.15. Well done!
Your Humble Reporter was not racing this weekend, fulfilling instead a supporting role to husband Neil Bates, who was taking part in the Endure 12/50 in Pangbourne. The event ran through the night from 7PM on Saturday 18th to 7AM on Sunday 19th July and encompassed a variety of different races: 50k (solo), 50 miles (solo) and 12 hours (team and solo runners). Neil took part in the 50k event, finishing in 6.42.01 – a really fantastic result given that he is a walker, rather than a runner (a completely objective viewpoint, of course).
On Sunday 19th July Philip Lewis took part in the Morrisons Great Newham London Run, a 10k race run around the Olympic Park. Philip did well to complete the race in 1.04.15.
Sandra Reynolds got herself yet another 1st lady position in the Run Wexham Trail Race, a multi-terrain 5 miler run on land adjacent to Wexham Park Hospital. Sandra clocked a great time of 34.36. She was joined by Chiltern Harrier Isabelle Winter (W45) in 53.37.
