There were several newcomers in the U13 girls taking part in the 1500m. Race 1 saw Holly Henderson second in 5.37.35, Carys Arnold fourth in 5.40.31, and Jinaan Lockwood eighth in 5.45.28.
In Race 2 U15 Beth Welham ran 5.25.38. Not far behind were U13s Laura Williams with 5.32.59 and debutant Abbie Henderson in 5.38.35.
There were PBs in Race 3 for U13 Zach Rahaman (5.17.30), U15 Matt Clifford (5.17.42), U15 Soraya Lockwood (5.25.15) and U13 Matt Aldred (5.37.23).
Race 5 saw a positive run from U15 Alex Aldred to log a PB of 4.52.94 and there was a further PB from U13 Nathan Hackley in Race 6 of 4.53.91.
Race 7 featured a big PB from U15 Cameron Reid (4.29.99) and solid run of 4.36.63 from U17 Seb Mills.
The 800m races saw a win in Race 1 from U17 Mimi Houlihan-Burne (2.38.30) with U15 Alice Moffat recording 2.45.71. Senior man Allan Stewart ran a PB to win Race 8 in 1.57.35.
The last races of the evening were the 3000m where Peter Gould won Race 1 in 9.52.53, by now, fairly chilly conditions. Harry Cox (U17) made his 3000m debut with an encouraging 10.12.13. Race 2 saw U23 James McCarthy second in 8.46.23, U20 Will Perkin sixth in 9.06.60 and U20 Richard Slade scored a big PB with 9.29.84.
