No less than 20 Harriers braved the mud at the annual Ley Hill Challenge. Full results here. A few highlight performances to mention: Matt Robins won the 5k race, followed swiftly by fellow Harrier Matt Channer, in times of 23.35 and 23.51. Andrew Wiseall was the first Harrier home in the 10k race, finishing 8th in 43.29; whilst Sam Meldrum retained his title as fastest Ley Hill Dad (44.59).. Chiltern's Helen Cholawo was 2nd lady in 50.59. Well done guys, and to all who took part. An extra special congratulations to organisers Mark and Helen Eliis-Jones, who are great supporters of our Club.
A quick (additional) mention for Aran Davidson, who ran a 10k PB on the track recently during the SEAA 10k Champs at Stoke Mandeville, in a time of 36.38.6. Well done!
In parkrun news this week, Allan Stewart ran an all-time parkrun PB of 15.22 at Bushy Park yesterday, as did Alex Shelley (19.19). (Bushy, the original parkrun, celebrated its 700th event!) There were also lots of PBs at Rickmansworth: Richard Clark (all-time PB - 18.12); Neil Bates (an all-time PB – 18.53); me (a course PB of 20.10); Matt Channer (course PB of 21.24) and Angela Hughes (course PB of 26.58).
