Kate Loach tackled the humid Venice marathon, taking in no less than 14 bridges to finish in a fantastic time of 3:37; coming third in her age category. Well done Kate!
Ed Wright took on the Great South Run, finishing in a fantastic time of 1:14:08 and knocking 7 minutes off last year’s time. Ed was also pleased to unexpectedly see Trevor B cheering him on from the sidelines of the 10-mile course, further lending weight to the long-held belief that Trevor is ALWAYS watching.
Turning to 10ks, David Breingan completed the Water of Life race at Bisham Abbey in Berkshire in 40:46, and Nick Hancock finished the Richmond Riverside 10k in 46:06.
And finally to Parkrun, where CHAC members were out in force. Over in Basingstoke, Louise Fry was first lady, finishing in a time of 20:07 and David Saul clocked a new PB of 22:03 at Rickmansworth. Meanwhile, over in Wycombe, Fabe Downs won the run, completing it in 16:29, while Julia Aliaj got a course PB of 26:08 at Tring.
