Fabe Downs managed to squeeze in no less than three Race-Report-worthy performances over the weekend: 4th place at the Maidenhead Easter 10 (mile) on Friday (52.57); 1st place at Wycombe Rye parkrun on Saturday (16.50); and 2nd place at the Beaconsfield 5 mile trail race today (28.05).
Harriers made the most of the Bank Holiday weekend to do some parkrun touristing, with some great results amongst the mix on Saturday 31 March. Less far from home Ali Young was first female in Rickmansworth (19.13), whilst David Williams and Hannah Wardley both got all-time parkrun PBs of 19.14 and 21.19. Lesedi Nkoane was first female at Shorne Wood (Kent) in 20.58, whilst John Webber did his first ever parkrun in Henley-on-Thames in 25.41. Other runners took on events as far-flung as Franschhoek in South Africa, Harrogate, Coffs Harbour in Australia, and the Wyre Forest (West Midlands).
And finally, joining Fabe today at a rainy Beaconsfield 5 mile trail race were: David Howells (33.51); Tim Dawson (44.13); Katherine Day (46.11); Miriam Kempson (47.11) and Paula Walker (58.54). Further results still pending.
