The Junior Girls race was dominated by Chiltern girls running for Dr Challoner’s High School. Frankie Baxter won the race with Lesedi Nkoane close behind in second. Maddie Hughes in third and Hannah Ashby in fourth made an impressive scoring quartet and Ellie Shield also ran well for sixth place.
Thomas Redmond was a convincing winner of the Junior Boys race for Challoner’s Grammar. Making up the victorious DCGS quartet were Max Baxter in fifth, Oakley Denson in eighth and non-harrier George Beddoe in tenth. Isaac Jessop-Tranter was 14th. Rowan Gawne in fourth and Alden Collier in seventh also ran well for RGS High Wycombe who also made the final in third place.
DCHS were just as dominant in the Inter Girls race with Orla Williams the individual winner. Abbie Henderson second, Holly Henderson fourth, and Alice Brown fifth, made up the scorers. Katie Repper was close behind in sixth.
The DCGS Inters narrowly qualified for the final in third place. Finn O’Brien had a great run to be fourth and the other scorers were Ben Jackson in 10th, James Watson 14th and Jamie Carruthers in 20th. Luke Martin was 21st. Mac Nisbet had a good run to be ninth, part of the John Hampden team that qualified for the final in second place.
Ella Both had a great run to be third in the Junior Girls race in the South West final in Somerset for Queen Anne’s, Reading. Ella’s school did not reach the final however.
Louis Kempe had an excellent run to be fifth with John Broadis 33rd in the Berkhamsted School Junior Boys team that came fifth at St Albans. In the Inter Boys race Tom Emery was 19th, running for the Harrow School team who came fifth.
