Harriers flocked to Watford on Sunday 4 February for the Watford Half Marathon. The first Harrier home was Aran Davidson, breaking 80 minutes for the first time in 1 hour 19mins and 18sec. He was followed by: Nick Marsh (1:25:50); Mairead O’Rourke (1:28:51); Matt “the Medal” Robbins (PB of 1:32:52); Ian Lawson (1:34:27); David Breingan (1:34:34); Kate Loach (1:38:41 2nd Vet 55); Grant Whitaker (1:39.18); Steve Field (1:51:28); Rik Edwards (1:53:13); David Saul (1:53:53); Rachel Presnail (1:56:30) and Ruth Holroyd (2:06:57).
Moving to the shorter races, Neil Bates was competing in the Olympic Park 10km on Saturday 3 February, finishing with a PB of 39:51. On Sunday, Dave Howells narrowly missed joining the Sub 40 club at the London Winter Run, finishing with a chip time of 40:03. At Parkrun this week, Peter Gould came home in 1st place at Ally Pally. Ben Jackson achieved a new PB of 18:46 at Black Park. At Rickmansworth Michael Day and Doug King clocked all time PBs of of 18:06 and 25:19 respectively, Doug also completing his 50th Park Run.
