It’s a pre-Pednor report today, folks. Looking forward to seeing a number of you at the Tennis Club later for what will be a great event, as ever, I am sure. And once again it’s been a successful weekend for Chiltern Harriers in road races.
The BUCS Championships took place at Bedford over the Bank Holiday weekend.
There were three Chiltern Harriers taking part for their universities and one alumnus of the club.
South Bucks, a composite team of U17 and U20 athletes from Chiltern Harriers and Wycombe Phoenix, had their first match of the season at Harrow on Sunday.
In fair conditions the team worked hard but had to settle for fifth, out of six, in a close fought match.
Another very good evening at Watford saw many PBs for Chiltern’s young middle distance runners. In the first part of the evening there were some 100m races and U13s Lily Jessop-Tranter (15.09) and Isaac Jessop-Tranter (13.55) both scored PBs. Izzy Martin was just outside with 15.24.
