We’ll kick things off with parkrun. There were wins for Ali Young (18.55, Rickmansworth) and Kate Loach (21.12, Cassiobury) yesterday; and course PBs for Jane Williamson (20.38, Black Park) and Jason Trimmer (19.58, Rouse Hill). Finally, Rachel Padwick had her parkrun debut at Woodhouse Moor in Leeds (26.30) and Luke Martin earned himself a fab new all-time parkrun PB of 18.22 at Rickmansworth.
Today, friend of CHAC Simon Beedell completed the Fleet Half Marathon in 1.14.3*, and there was a substantial PB (and sub-90 time) of 1.29.03 for Mike Worsfold at the Reading Half! Joining Mike at the popular Spring Marathon prep race were Alan Hornibrook (1.37.23) and Amber Stubbings (2.33.24). Keeping on the half marathon theme, Rachel Presnail completed the Welwyn Half in 2.13.31 and Victoria Lucas – the Hampton Court Half in 1.54.54.
In 10k news, Ed Wright clocked 51.23 and the Milton Keynes 10k and Ruth Holroyd – 50.30 at the Windsor Winter Fun Run (again, I’m fairly sure that no one would call Dorney Lake ‘fun’, especially on a windy day).
