Both made it through heats on Saturday to finals on Sunday.
In the U13 Girls 800m, Lesedi Nkoane ran comfortably in her heat to be third in 2.34.7. In Sunday’s final, hot favourite Phoebe Gill from St Albans fell at the start leaving the result wide open. In an exciting and close final straight, where the first four were within half a second of each other, Lesedi secured the bronze medal in 2.24.84, six hundredths ahead of fourth and just outside her PB.
In the U17 men’s 1500m Angus Williams was second in his heat in 4.18.31 to make Sunday’s final. Angus finished in ninth place in 4.24.46.
