On a dry, still but very cool night, conditions were not ideal for fast running but there were some excellent performances and several PBs.
Second year U13s boys Charlie Ventress, John Broadis and Isaac Jessop-Tranter took part as did two first year girls making their U13 debut, Isabel Martin and Lily Jessop-Tranter.
In Race 1 Isabel won the race in 15.03 with Lily third in 15.52. In Race 2 John Broadis ran 14.42, just ahead of Charlie Ventress, running a PB of 14.47. Race 3 saw Isaac Jessop-Tranter in PB form with 13.90.
There were just eight 1500m races, so the fields spread out significantly in all but the last. Race 1 saw first year U13 Alex Hughes make an impressive debut in fourth in 5.09.46. First year U15 Maddy Hughes ran a big PB in sixth with 5.11.25 and U15 Hannah Ashby ran 5.17.06.
In Race 2 second year U13 Leon Doran was a fraction outside his PB with 4.59.85 and U15 Ella Botha made a good season debut to run 5.06.24.
In Race 7 U23 Sam Howell ran well for fifth in a PB of 4.09.76 and in Race 8 U20 Harry Cox ran a big PB of 4.07.06 to be sixth.
